My CD drive on my laptop isn't being read. It's as if the drive itself has disappeared! I leave it on at night to charge my MP3 player and occasionally leave it on as i leave for school. I try to turn it off but i usually forget to. I got this game 2 or so days ago and the drive was fine , it read the game fine and i played it for a little. Though yesterday i didnt play it and today i tried to play it and it said there wasnt a disc in the CD/DVD drive when there was so i clicked on the my computer to icon to see if it was reading the disc in the drive only to find out there wasnt anything there to read the disc. This computer is roughly 4-5 years old I think age might be a reason why it's doing this though i'm not so sure. I also think that because of me not turning off the laptop it fried the drive into non-existence. I dont know what to do i need some professional electronic advice so would someone please help me and give me some ideas to why the drive has disappeared suddenly!!.

Well, my task was to take something from a magazine and put it into a newspaper article, so heres what I came up with. It's supposed to be the top 5 games at E3. Please read it over and give me any comments or suggestions on it.
This year the E3 conference took place during July 15-17 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. E3 stands for Electronic Entertainment Exposition. It is an annual video game tradeshow for computer and video games. Many new upcoming games are announced here for the main gaming platforms. Since 2007 it has not been open to the general public, so we have the top 10 games of E3 to share with you today, and you can visit the official E3 website for more coverage.
5. Guitar Hero: World Tour took 5th place at E3. It will be released for the PC as well as the 3 current generation gaming consoles. This new game follows Rock Band with a full band experience. The creators added many new features compared to the previous game which was already a very good game. With this game, you can create your own songs and even share them with others online. The Guitar design has become even better along with a new drum kit. A nice new feature of this game is it’s online band battles. Although Rock Band 2 is similar, Guitar Hero: World Tour outperformed it with many more features.
4. The fourth place game at E3 is Resident Evil 5. This game will be released for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 only. It’s the fifth game in capcom’s survival horror series. This game features online co-op mode for those looking to play story mode with friends along with many improvements to the graphics system and game play.
This game will be an amazing improvement for all of the Resident Evil fans
3. Fallout 3 took 3rd place at E3. It will be released for the PC, Playstation 3, and the Xbox 360. This game has been completely changed from the first two in the series making it a much better role playing game. The game engine for Fallout 3 has been greatly improved making the game play and graphics much better than the previous games.
2. The 2nd best game at E3 is Gears of Wars 2. It will be an Xbox 360 exclusive game, but it could be released for the PC later on after it comes out for the 360. This is the sequel to the best selling game for the Xbox 360 and it continues where the first game left off. Gears of War 2 has a whole new weapon set, new enemies, new vehicles, and many new game options. This is a highly anticipated game for the Xbox 360, just like the previous game.
1. The best game at E3 is Left 4 dead. It will be released for the Xbox 360 and PC only. It is a zombie survival horror with the best co-op features in any first-person shooter game. The game play for this game is more advanced than most other games. It is not yet a well known game, but it really does deserve the title of the best game at E3.

We play a card game that we call Garbage & I'm trying to find rules. The only Garbage card game I'm finding is one similar to Phase 10. And this isn't it.
The one we play maybe isn't garbage & has another name?? Does anyone play this game & if so, what is the correct name?
We play with pennies.
Each round consists of 4 games. We go around the table until each person deals once.
Game 1 is a poker hand, and you bet as each person is dealt 1 card face up for all to see.
Game 2 is a bingo round.
Game 3 is Put & Take
and
Game 4 is dealers choice of hi/low or low/hi. If there's not enough pennies in the pot, dealers contributes. If there is extra pennies after the round, dealer keeps them.
It's a fun game. Thought I found the rules once with an electronic version & it DID have the name garbage, also.

Eb games gets a double cut of everything and I think it's unfair. They are making double off of our stuff and giving us almost nothing back for it!. (EB games is Electronic Boutique)

Resolved Question: I have a reason to be annoyed at my MIL don't I?
my daughter turned 1 at the end of September, my MIL did not get her a present, saying she hadn't found anything yet and she didn't get paid for a few more days, that was fine, its now been 2 months and she still hasn't given my daughter anything for her birthday, apparently she has bought something but yesterday when she visited she didn't bring anything, it's been 2 months of excuses, how she can't find anything, has no money, etc, yet at the same time, she plays bingo 2 times a week, has been clubbing with friends multiple times in the past few months and gambles everyday! not only this but during this time she has bought presents for her friends child and for her nephews and nieces, so why can't she buy a simple birthday present for her only granddaughter?!

I am working on a story about a girl who commits a reprehensible act in her hometown, earns a terrible reputation, and returns a few years later after the "dust had settled", so to speak. However, I am torn between two scenarios. Which of these seems like an offense that would cause the most "talk" and public condemnation?
1.) A girl (Callie) and her friends, who have been drinking and getting high, get into a car and drive to a local carnival. On the way to their destination, their vehicle collides with another car. One of Callie's friends is killed in the crash, as well as two innocent 90-year-old sisters who were in the other car and on their way back from bingo.
2.) Fifteen-year-old Callie has always been known as a mean girl ,and she boastfully records herself and a group of friends verbally and physically tormenting a girl from their school. The video is posted on the Internet, and within the week, the victim commits suicide.
Shortly after either scenario 1 or 2, Callie moves out of state to go live with her aunt and uncle. She returns to the "scene of the crime" 3 years later when an ill family member needs her to come back to her hometown, and she has to deal with the aftermath of what she did as a young teen.

Resolved Question: I have TWO TOILETS and NEITHER will flush anything down, not even water. What's the deal?
My toilets have always been very successful GOOD flushing toilets -- never had a problem getting ANYTHING down. We've lived here about 18 months. They've always worked very well, in fact, better than any other place I have EVER lived!!
Lately, my boyfriend's been using those so-called flushable wipes, mostly due to having stomach issues. Anyway, he apparently used 2 or 3 at one time, many different times. (Eek, I know!)
And, bad timing on my part, I flushed ONE feminine hygiene item just ONE TIME about three days prior to 'the stoppage'. :(
I am certain it can be a clog, but why BOTH toilets??? I should make it clear that we have not been using the rear toilet at all for MONTHS since I noticed it would occasionally run, so we NEVER even used that one, so in theory it should NOT be a problem.
My boyfriend decided to try and use it while we were figuring out what to do about toilet #1 and bingo, #2 doesn't work EITHER. I'm sooo bummed!
We have tried to snake it and also tried a product called FLUSH AWAY. No success. I have also purchased Rid-X and other similar products that are said to 'eat away' any stuck stuff. The problem is, we cannot get anything to GO DOWN, so these sorts of products will not work.
IS THERE ANNNNNNYTHING ELSE WE CAN TRY, SHORT OF A PLUMBER?
Would you say this is TRULY A CLOG or could it be something else going on?
(I should also note that all other sinks and showers are a-ok - no other clogs or issues anywhere.)
Please tell me we don't need a plummer. Ugh!!

Can you tell I'm stressed??
I should also note that these are those ones that make a big WHOOSH -- low flow but with the siphon effect... there has also been some sediment appearing in the rear toilet since its not been used. I noticed some sediment, strangely, in the FRONT TOILET, inside the tank, when checking things, trying to figure out what to do. Could it be a problem with something like this?
Also note, I tried to use an AUGER to clear things both down the toilet and also to see if there was any sediment built up in the front hole thing that was preventing water flow. Didn't seem to be an issue in either area that I could resolve...
